I am sharing 3 braided hairstyles you need for summer. Whether it’s a day at the pool, running errands, or something in between, one of these hairstyles is sure to fit!

I am not one to keep my hair completely down- only for special occasions normally because I like it out of my face. On the day to day, it often ends up in bun, but when I want to do a little something different, I love doing braids!
Braids are pretty simple once you get the hang of them, and these hairstyles can be done in about 5-10 minutes. You don’t even need to know how to French braid.

Items Needed for Braided Hairstyles
- Small elastics
- Hairbands
- Hairspray (optional)
Braided Hairstyles – 1

- Part hair in center and braid a section of hair on each side starting at the part.
- You can use a fine tooth comb to back comb the ends so you don’t have to tie a rubber band.
- Start pulling pieces of braid loose, so it is not so tight. This will make the braid look fuller.
- Pull hair back. Using a hair tie, start to put hair into ponytail, but leave small bun on third loop.
- Wrap remaining hair around hairband and tuck end under loop.
- Pull a few pieces of hair out as desired to create a looser look
Braided Hairstyles – 2

- Part your hair down the center and section out a small rectangle on each side.
- On one side, grab just the front of the rectangle section.
- Braid section as far as needed, and back comb the bottom or tie with rubber band.
- Pull piece of braid out to create a fuller look.
- Now pull back the rest of the hair in the rectangle with the braid laying on top.
- Tie hair with small elastic and tighten.
- Repeat on the other side creating to small faux French braids.
Braided Hairstyles – 3

- Part hair down the middle and tie one side of hair with ponytail (this just helps the hair from not getting pulled to the opposite side on accident).
- Grab small section in the front at the tip of the port and loosely tie with a small elastic.
- Create opening in the middle of the top section and push small ponytail over and through opening, and tighten.
- Gather another small section behind first ponytail, tie with small elastic and tighten.
- Take first ponytail, and separate in half. Flip second ponytail forward and pull two section of first ponytail around second one.
- Gather hair from first ponytail with more hair for a third section.
- Repeat process down back of head until you run out of hair to add.
- Secure all of hair with a hair band, and wrap a small piece around ponytail.
- Pull pieces from each section out to create a bubble braid.
