I am laying out 4 decor items you need for a pallet table picnic. These few items will help elevate your gathering and make you the ultimate host.

We recently hosted Briana’s (the middle sister) bridal shower at our parents’ home. With the weather being unpredictable with raining or not, we were switching our decor plans up until the last minute.
Thankfully, our parents have a screened in porch, so that is where we landed on having the main area. That way, even if it rained, we would still be covered.
Why A Pallet Table Picnic?
I don’t know if it’s just us, but we actually enjoy sitting on the ground. We lounge on the ground, work on the ground, etc. I feel like we would often get people asking us to sit in a chair, and we would opt out most of the time.
That is one of the reasons we decided using a pallet on the ground would be perfect for Briana’s shower. It was cozy, yet elegant.

4 Items You Need for a Pallet Table Picnic
1. Pallets
The obvious. We went ahead and stacked 2 rows of pallets on top of each other. This way it was a little higher, so people didn’t have to hunch over as much while eating. We felt the double stack was the perfect height.
We had 3 pallets across, and that fit about 6 people on each side.
2. Centerpiece/Runner
We used a long piece of chiffon fabric, and gold spray painted wine bottles with fresh flowers to go down the center of the pallets. Super easy.
You could easily replace the wine bottles and flowers with your food. Place your charcuterie boards, apps, etc, on top of the fabric runner.
3. Chargers
Because the table doesn’t actually have chairs, the chargers set the spaces for each person to sit. We used simple gold chargers, but there are so many options out there.
4. Blankets & Pillows
The final touch to making your event cozy. I would mainly suggest blankets over pillows, but the pillows just add to the coziness. They can also play as a “seat” for each person, too, if you have enough.
